I think you are making yourself very stressed at the thought of flying, ask you parents if they can get you an aisle seat on the plane, it so much better been able to look up and down the aisle when on a plane, it makes you feel less closed in, I was terrified of getting on a plane for years and years and only plucked up the courage 18 months ago but I am so very glad I did because I got to Australia in April to see cousins and family I haven’t seen for 33 years and I am so glad I finally went because it was so worth it, maybe you should talk to you parents about how you feel and ask them if they can make an appointment to see your GP as he will be able to give you lots of tips and advice to help you feel much better about it, don’t be afraid to ask for help will you and the best of luck to you and do enjoy your holiday too.

I spend christmas alone every year. Usually on Christmas eve I watch my regular shows or even some really good x-mas specials or even some movies that I have that I want to watch, eat chips dips and drink spiked eggnog. Then on Christmas day after I get up and I eat a breakfast that I don’t usually have and open my presents and then for dinner I have a nice juicy t-bone steak and baked potato. I know how hard it can be at this time of the year especially after you have lost your family. I lost both of my parents within months of each other and both before chirstmas. That year and the 2 or so after that were the hardest ones I could imagine. I loved to watch my taped x-mas movies and I couldn’t even get 5 minutes into them without breaking down into tears. Luckily I had a friend that spent christmas with me at my home and she helped me get through it. then I was able to spend christmas with her family for about 3 years after that until we had a parting of the ways and I moved out so we could each live our own lives. By then I was able to spend the holiday by myself and I kind of enjoy it because I can do what I want when I want and eat what i feel like and nobody says one thing about it.

Hope everything works out for you and I truelly hope that you have the Merriest of Christmas’

There’s cheapest (highway bus), and then there’s cheapest that’s humanly comfortable.

As a tourist, you qualify for the Visit Japan Fare, so a round trip flight between Tokyo and Fukuoka is under 25,000 yen for you. You must purchase the ticket from a travel agency while still outside Japan for this.

Also as a tourist, you qualify for the Japan Rail Pass. For 28,300 yen, you can ride almost all trains on the JR system for 7 days. This is probably the best bargain. Again, you must purchase the JR Pass from a travel agency while still outside Japan.

If you’re already in Japan, you might as well just fly. With an advanced purchase, the even the fare on ANA is 26,200 yen round trip. It’s 22,320 yen one way on the shinkansen from Tokyo to Hakata.
